Harrow International is expanding

Harrow International is in the process of expanding its mission in Asia. Harrow International established schools in Bangkok in 1998 and Beijing 2005 and the master plan for the next school, Harrow Hong Kong, has recently been finalised.

Harrow International School Hong Kong will open in August 2012. The priorities at present are to complete detailed drawings and fully meet government regulations so that construction can commence in the secondĀ half of 2010. The overall design of the school is an exciting combination of aesthetic attractiveness and functional efficiency, designed to fully support the broad curricular and co-curricular programmes that will be offered at the school and boarding houses, a home-away-from-home for many Secondary students.

While planning for HISHK continues on schedule, other locations deemed potentially suitable for establishing at least one more Harrow International School are being explored. In time the Harrow International will comprise a group of up to five schools which will reflect a geographical and cultural diversity in which students and teachers will experience rich opportunities for interaction and support.

Meanwhile, the existing schools continue to strengthen the quality of educational provision. The building of a specialist Sixth Form Centre is being discussed in Bangkok and finalising the location of an integrated Primary/Secondary site in Beijing is well advanced there. With low staff turnover again at both schools, ongoing consistency and quality of educational provision are assured.
