Development Requirements
The normal cycle of development for each school includes:
Phase Two – Feasibility
Feasibility study – data needed to decide on the location of the school is collected, from which a business plan is devised.
Phase One – Formalisation
Moving from initial discussions to a Memorandum of Understanding and, where appropriate, forming a legally constituted joint venture.
Phase Three – Implementation
- Design of the school.
- Gaining the necessary licenses.
- Construction of the school.
- Appointment of Headmaster, Heads of Secondary and Primary and Registrar.
- Launch and promotion of the school.
- Recruitment and testing of prospective students.
- Recruitment of teachers.
- Curriculum development.
Phase Four – Commencement
- New staff induction.
- Opening of the school.
- Embedding the school’s philosophy and culture in daily practice.
Phase Five – Development
- Ongoing self-review related to accreditation.
- Development of teacher professional development opportunities.
- Development of a strategic plan.
- Ongoing capital works developments and minor works upgrades.
- Development of Harrow group links.
